Trimble to Showcase its Latest Agriculture Solutions at Cereals in the UK
SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 7, 2016—Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) will be showcasing its latest farming technology at Cereals in Nr Duxford, Cambridgeshire, UK from June 15-16, 2016. Trimble—which provides precision agriculture solutions to farmers worldwide including total farm management with its Connected Farm™ solution—and its local resellers AS Communications, SoilEssentials and Mastenbroek will be located at Stand #335. Trade show attendees will be able to enter their name into a drawing for a chance to win a Trimble® CFX-750™ display and EZ-Pilot® assisted steering system.
Latest TMX-2050 Display Functionality
Trimble will be showcasing the latest functionality of its Android™-based TMX-2050™ display including:
xFill® Premium, powered by Trimble RTX™ technology, which provides an unlimited backup correction source during RTK or VRS outages and maintains accuracy of 4 centimeters or better. xFill Premium runs in the background, and automatically engages when needed so farmers can be confident of a seamless transition. With xFill Premium, farmers can work without interruption if their primary signal experiences an outage or interruption.
Ag App Central marketplace, which provides farmers with access to specialized mobile tools that address regional farming needs and simplify farm management. The latest app—Job Manager—allows jobs to be read from a third-party ISO XML-generating program, and provides access to data from other ISO XML displays. Job details can be shared with local providers to ensure that in-cab field records match office field records.
Innovative NextSwath™ end-of-row turn technology, which is available on the TMX-2050 display when using the Autopilot™ automated steering system. NextSwath automatically calculates and executes the best possible path to turn the farm vehicle around to approach the next crop row with the implement precisely aligned to begin working. The technology reduces towed implement undershooting or overshooting, and minimizes skips and overlaps when lining up for the next row. As a result, it enables growers to save on fuel costs, reduce crop damage and compaction, and increase yield.
ISOBUS communication in the TMX-2050 display, providing easier implement setup.
Earlier this year Trimble introduced the MMX-070 display—a portable 7-inch Android-based device—into the European market. The display combines the capabilities of a precision farming display with the advantages of a tablet. It can be used in the cab for precision agriculture tasks, used in the field for scouting and mapping, taken to the office for planning and data analysis, and is easily transferred between farm vehicles. As a result, the display allows farmers to use one device for multiple activities, providing increased versatility and convenience. The MMX-070 display can be used as a manual guidance system in the tractor cab and as an ISOBUS Universal Terminal, which ensures the display can communicate with and control implements that use ISOBUS standards. It also features Wi-Fi connectivity and provides access to the Ag App Central marketplace. The MMX-070 display is an entry-level product for farmers who are beginning to use precision agriculture solutions, but is also easily upgradeable so they can add more advanced capabilities as their needs evolve.
More Options with TMX-2050 and CFX-750 Displays
Trimble also has introduced more flexibility and options for both the TMX-2050 and CFX-750 displays to provide farmers, with varying precision agriculture needs, price points and farm size, a display solution that best fits their requirements. With the TMX-2050 display, customers have the option to purchase the current version that includes both the Precision-IQ™ and FmX® Plus applications, or a new version that focuses on Precision-IQ. The FmX Plus application leverages the same familiar workflows and menus of the Trimble FmX integrated display, while taking advantage of the latest advancements in hardware, processing speed and field connectivity of the TMX-2050 display. Precision-IQ provides a graphics-rich and intuitive workflow in an application specialized for auto-guidance and standardized protocols including ISOBUS.
In addition to the current version of the CFX-750 display, which includes auto-guidance capabilities and application control, Trimble has also launched a CFX-750 Lite display version. CFX-750 Lite provides a simplified set up and price point that make it easier for new users to adopt precision farming technology, and is upgradeable to allow the user to access higher functionalities such as auto-guidance and application control.
